7 DAYS
4-7 PEOPLE
4* HOTELS
Raise your travel portrait skills to a new level in India's most colourful state, and one of the most photogenic locations for people photography on the planet. A place where the biggest photographic challenge is deciding whom to photograph, from among several several attractive subjects around you at all times.
Indulge in a symphony of colours, filled with spectacularly vibrant dresses, insanely photogenic faces, combined with some of the finest, intricate Indian architecture.
You will be swept away by Rajasthan's intensity, caleidoscope of colours, and raw yet refined beauty.
We will also have two photoshoots with local models in traditional saris against the backdrop of gorgeous palaces.
Level of Difficulty
This trip is easygoing and comfortable, with no physically demanding activities, limited domestic travel and a fairly relaxed pace.
You just need to be prepared for:
-
A 5-hour train journey
-
Several early starts to catch the best morning light (sunrise is around 6:30am)
Locations
Jodhpur
Jodhpur is affectionately called Blue City, as most buildings in the old town are painted blue - providing a beautiful backdrop to people's colourful dresses. Jodhpur's daily market is a photographer's paradise, as people from nearby villages show up in their best, immaculately clean dresses, complete with spectacular jewellery.
Jaipur
Jaipur is home to some of the most beautiful architecture in India, featuring elaborate structures and intricate ornamentation - a perfect setting for people photography. Outstanding palaces, step wells, and open-air astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar will all be on our busy itinerary.
