At this exclusive photography Masterclass, we will bring together top Indian models, fashion and architecture - to capture the soul of sublime, esoteric Indian beauty and culture.

In 4 full days of shooting, we will cover portrait, fashion and sensual photography - all with only natural light.

We will shoot in 4 magical, quintessential examples of Indian architecture, plus a desert shoot.

We will partner with India’s top fashion designers for the best of Indian traditional & contemporary dresses.

You will learn how to blend people, dresses, ambience, light and direction to create exquisite, artistic images. with mood, emotion and story.

We will combine group and 1:1 shooting to maximise learning, shooting time and creative freedom.
Jaipur
Rajasthani Palace
Located 3h drive from Jaipur, Karauli City Palace is one of the most spectacular examples of the grandeur and sophistication of Rajasthani architecture.
Built gradually between 14th and 19th centuries, it features multiple rooms, halls and galleries, offering near infinite shooting opportunities.
We will have it for exclusive use for entire 2 days, without anyone else around - giving plenty of time and privacy for portrait, fashion and sensual/part-nude photography.
We will be staying in a hotel just a few minutes away from the palace.
Jaisalmer
Patwon Ki Haveli
This magnificent 19th century mansion is a poignant reminder of a bygone era steeped in opulence and grandeur, with its intricate carvings and enigmatic beauty that unfolds at every turn. Built as a residence for Prime Minister of Jaisalmer Kingdom, it boasts elaborate balconies with ornate latticework, and spacious courtyards. We will have this haveli for exclusive use for 3 hours.
Bada Bagh
Bada Bagh is a complex of royal chhatri cenotaphs (semi-open, elevated, dome-shaped pavillions) constructed by the kings of the Jaisalmer State in the 18th & 19th century. Those beautiful, classic sandstone structures with their gentle curves and intricate carvings offer fantastic setting for fashion photography, especially during early-morning golden hour.
Gadisar Lake
This man-made 14th century lake is surrounded by some very photogenic architecture, including chhatris, gates, balconies and arches - with 2 chhatris located in the middle of the lake itself. Perfect in early morning hours to shoot light flowy, semi-transparent saree fabrics.
Desert Shoot
Just 40km from Jaisalmer lies a glorious stretch of sweeping sand dunes, which make a perfect setting for a wilder, more raw ethnic photographic theme - with a more creative and flexible use of Rajasthani fabrics and jewellery.

Shoot Organisation
We will have 2 models with us at all sessions. Each model will join us for 1-2 days, so that we have plenty of variety.

Depending on the location, we will be shooting in 2 configurations:

The whole group shoots one model with coaching - while each photographer gets 20 mins of 1:1 time with the second model.
​​
-
Split the group into 2 sub-groups, each doing 4:1 shooting with each model - then swap. I will move between the sub-groups to brief them and check how they are doing.​​

Pawel Lipski
Pawel is an international photography coach, based in Zurich, Switzerland and Bali.
​
He specialises exclusively in people photography in natural light - including portraits, boudoir and travel portraits​ - which he teaches at his workshops and photo trips around the world.
Because to him, people are the most fascinating photographic subjects, with an endless variety of faces, expressions and emotions.
​
He spent over 10 years perfecting the ways to use natural light to create studio-like portraits anywhere, in any weather.
​
Over time, he has filtered down everything he learned into a handful of the most powerful techniques - and structured them into a "3 Steps to Stunning Portraits" training system.
