MAX 10 PEOPLE
4 STAR HOTELS
Raise your travel portrait skills to a new level at this intense, fast-paced 3-day Masterclass - in a place filled with fabulously photogenic people awaiting at every corner.
Experience a land of chaotic intensity, raw beauty, surreal scenes and faces that tell a thousand stories. A place where you may not see another tourist for a day or two. And where we ourselves will be a subject of curiosity and cheerful following.
A land where people don't mind being photographed - and may even bring their friends.
We will throw ourselves right into the middle of it, soak it in, and capture it on camera.
In addition to people photography, we will also see Bangladesh's secretive ship-breaking yards. That's where huge commercial vessels are sent at the end of their life, and driven full-speed into a beach - where they are manually dismantled by hundreds of workers into pieces small enough to be carried back to the beach. You will see 20-30 monster ship carcasses in various stages of decay.
Bangladesh will touch you deep inside with extreme emotions and unforgettable moments. It will leave you speechless. It leaves a lasting mark on everyone.
How It Works
We start with a 30-min briefing on key principles of travel portraits.
At each location, I will tell you what to focus on, and give tips on best techniques & angles. I will keep checking your images and giving you instant feedback, to make sure you get the best possible results.
You will learn how to connect with your subject, and how to take candid portraits without getting noticed - so that you get comfortable with taking photos of strangers.
We will spend 2 days in Chittagong & 1 day in Dhaka. We will move around in a minibus with a local driver and a guide.
This Masterclass is designed for people who have already completed my 3 STEPS TO STUNNING PORTRAITS training - or who are advanced enough not to need it.
You need to be familiar with the ways to find the best natural light, with key composition techniques, and with basic camera controls.
In each location, I will be telling you which ones to use and what to focus on - but there will be no time to learn them slowly.
